Getting started
What is Needt?
A planner that keeps your tasks, calendar, docs and moodboards in one place, and plans the day for you: tasks get slots around your meetings, and the day rebuilds when something moves.
How do I add a task?
Type it the way you’d say it — “send the report, 30 min, by Friday #Clients”. Needt reads the estimate, the deadline and the project, and finds it a slot.
Can I bring my tasks from another app?
Yes. Connect an assistant over MCP and ask it to move them over, or use the API. Calendars connect directly from Settings.
Plans and billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes, and every new account starts with 14 days of Pro, free. Add a card only if you keep Pro. See Pricing for what each plan includes.
How do I cancel?
In Settings → Account → Billing. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Within 14 days of any payment, no reason needed. Write to hello@needt.app.
Calendars and mail
Which calendars work?
Google, Outlook, iCloud and any CalDAV calendar. Free connects one; Pro connects as many as you need.
Which mailboxes work?
Gmail, Outlook and IMAP, up to three on Pro. Turn an email into a task in one click.
Does Needt change my calendar?
Only when you ask it to — for example when you schedule a task as an event or accept a re-plan.
AI and MCP
What can the Needt agent do?
Answer questions about your plan, turn notes and emails into tasks, and re-plan your day when something moves. It suggests; you confirm changes.
Can I use Claude or ChatGPT instead?
Yes, on Pro and Lifetime (and during the 14-day trial). Connect them over MCP in a couple of minutes — see Connect AI.
Can I use my own AI key?
Yes, on every plan, in Settings → Data → Provider.
Your data
Is my data used to train AI?
No. Requests from the Needt agent go only to providers that don’t retain or train on them. If you add your own AI key, requests go to the provider you chose, under their terms.
How do I export or delete my account?
Export in Settings → Data → Import & export (JSON). Delete in Settings → Account → Delete account; there is a short grace period, then everything is removed.
